Essential European and Int'l Standards Machine Safety

Design for Safety

In the best case, there is a specific C-type standard for resp. machine. This standard shall already contain all risk and required mitigation. Lacking such a C-type, more general type A and B standards must be used for guidance.

In adhering to European Harmonized Standards, meeting all essential safety requirements put forth by the European Machinery Directvie may be assumed.
