I'm much committed to keeping your personal data confidential. As a Ziviltechniker it's my obligation not to disclose any information I have been entrusted with (Ziviltechnikergesetz 2019 – ZTG 2019 § 14. (1)). Hereby I inform about the most important aspects of processing personal data (European General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR article 13).

Use of your data is based on the following law:

  • Telekommunikations­gesetz 2003 – TKG,
  • Bundesabgaben­ordnung – BAO.

Purpose of Data Processing

I do not generally process any data of natural persons in my work as engineering consultant, save name and contact data of my customers.

In cases I may document a person's data, who has become a victim in an occupational accident, in order to determine sequence of events, causes and effects in connection with a machine or plant.

Visiting my Website

When you access my website, session duration, operating system and browser are recorded. This is a technical necessity (GDPR articel 6 paragraph 1 lit. f)). I use such records on occasion to get an overview of visits and in order to improve content. Your IP adress is masked by my hosting provider.

My website does not deploy any cookies.

There are hyperlinks to other sites, for the content of which, or any data collected by them, I am not liable.

Legal Justification of Data Processing

In order to arrange in-person or on-line meetings I need to record your contact data (“steps … prior to entering into a contract” acc. GDPR article 6 (1) b)). I do need technical and in cases personal data of affected persons in order to submit a quote for such services as requested by you. All these data are subject to my obligation of non-disclosure (ZTG 2019 § 14. (1)).

By confirming your order we enter into a contract (“performance of a contract” acc. GDPR article 6 (1) (b)).

I use records of visits to my website in order to constantly improve its contents.

Invoices are part of my accouting records (“legitimate interest” acc. GDPR article 6 (1) f)) which are required to fullfil my tax obligation (“legal obligation” GDPR article 6 (1) c)).

I can only act in your best interest when trusted with all relevant information (“performance of a contract” acc. GDPR article 6 (1) (b) and “legal obligation” GDPR article 6 (1) (c)). Should you hide important circumstances this shall impede effectiveness of protective measures established by me and can in worst case even endanger personal safety of subjects. Please do not contract my services unless you place full trust in me.

Third Parties

I am legally obliged not to disclose any of my customer's data I may have been entrusted with or that may have come to my knowledge (ZTG 2019 § 14. (1)).

I host my website on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, D-91710 Gunzenhausen. I also use Sync.com Inc., 105-155 Gordon Baker Road, Toronto, ON M2H 3N5 for cloud storage.

In order to file my income tax I need to transmit income-expense statements with the Austrian tax office; also with my tax consultant (“processor” acc. GDPR article 4 (8)). These statements are however void of personal data.

Recordkeeping

As a Ziviltechniker I have to store all deeds erected by me for at least 30 years (ZTG 2019 § 15. (1)).

I have to keep accounting records for seven years (BAO §132 (1)).

Your Rights

Generally you are entitled to having your personal data corrected or erased (GDPR article 15 (1) (e)).

Please complain to me office@zt-grassberger.at or to your data protection authority whenever you are convinced your data confidentiality may have been violated in any unlawful way.
